Introducing the Fair Housing Land Use Score: Helping Local Governments Plan For Less Segregated, More Affordable Communities
Researchers with the UCLA Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies have developed a new tool to measure how effectively local regulations promote inclusion across neighborhoods: the Fair Housing Land Use Score. Join us for this webinar, where we’ll introduce the score and share results for Southern California cities, which show that most zoning and housing plans do not advance fair housing goals. Along with our guests, we’ll discuss what this means for neighborhood segregation, affordability, and homelessness, and how this new tool can help cities plan more racially and economically integrated communities.
